Having a beautiful skin is everyone’s dream – it requires establishing an effective Skin Care Routine. Our skin is the largest organ of our body, and, unfortunately we take it for granted that the skin will protect us and rarely think of taking care of it. The reality is that we can do a lot of things to care of our skin along the way. Would any of us want to age prematurely? The answer is NO. Well, to our rescue, there are some simple and effective methods to prolong the aging process. We cannot stop ourselves from aging although we can certainly slow it down, provided we start at the earliest. Its a fact - When you look good, You feel happy and positive..!!
How to identify your skin type?
Understanding the skin type is the first step to understand the needs of your skin. Your skin type could be one of these – Normal, Dry, Oily, Combination, or Sensitive.
Normal Skin – Mostly clear and balanced.Dry Skin – Flaky, rough, scaly.
Oily Skin – Greasy, shiny.
Combination Skin – oily in some parts (nose, chin) and dry
in other spots (cheeks).
Sensitive Skin – Might sting, burn or itch on using certain
products, or turns reddish.
Step 1 : Cleansing
Cleansing your skin is extremely important as it opens up the pores on your face and removes the dirt, oil and perspiration. Often this is the reason for acne and other skin eruptions, which can be quite embarrassing. A gentle, natural cleanser without any parabens or harsh chemicals is best-suited for all skin types.
Wash your hands such that you avoid transferring any
bacteria from your hands to the face.
Wet your skin with lukewarm water. Apply the cleanser and
massage into the skin in upward circular strokes. Gently rub to get the skin
rid of any dirt and grime. Wipe off with damp cotton or wash off with lukewarm
water and pat dry with a soft, clean towel.
Step 2 : Nourishing
& Toning
Once your skin is clean, applying a Toner will be the next step. Toning will close those pores up, so this is a vital step in the Skin Care regimen. It also removes any remaining dirt left over from the cleansing process. Most importantly, it will refresh and nourish the skin.
Take a small amount of natural, alcohol-free Toner (few
drops) and apply it all over your face by gently massaging it in upward
strokes.
Step 3 : Moisturizing
The final step is to moisturize your skin. After completing
the steps above you need to rehydrate your skin. Do remember, Always Moisturize Last. If
you are concerned that you already have oily skin and don’t need more moisture,
be assured that moisturizing is still beneficial.
When the toner gets
dried up, apply a small blob of moisturizer, gently massaging in a circular motion, with upward strokes,
into your face and neck.
If you haven't applied enough moisturizer and your skin
still feels a little tight, then apply a bit more. If you apply too much &
it feels too oily, then gently blot with some tissue. A good moisturizer is made
of natural ingredients and it shouldn’t block your skin pores.
It is recommended to perform these steps twice per day, thus your skin would reward you as you age by appearing much younger than normally you would.
